Was the Movie a Success?
The question on everyone’s mind is whether or not Brahmastra was a success. The answer, unfortunately, isn’t as cut and dry as we would like it to be. Yes, the movie earned a whopping 350+ crores at the box office but when you take into account its hefty budget of 400 crores, it doesn’t quite look so impressive anymore.
So while it did make some money, it wasn’t nearly enough to be considered a resounding success.There are a number of factors that could be attributed to its underwhelming performance. For one, the movie was plagued by production delays which led to it being released much later than originally planned. This gave audiences less time to get hyped up for it and also meant that it had to compete with some big-ticket releases like RRR.
Additionally, many felt that the trailer didn’t really do justice to the scale of the film and failed to sell its true potential.All in all, Brahmastra wasn’t exactly the blockbuster hit we were hoping for but it did manage to earn respectable numbers considering everything working against it. Will there be a Sequel?
The first part of Brahmastra was originally supposed to release in 2021 but got pushed back due to several factors including VFX work. While an official announcement has not been made yet, sources close to the project have confirmed that a sequel to Brahmastra is already in development with plans for two more parts beyond that!
